Sooner Golf Patrons,

We invite you to participate in the 24th annual Sooners in the Desert Classic, February 27-29, 2024. Our host facilities are Hotel Paseo and Bighorn Country Club, both in Palm Desert, CA.

This is an awesome weekend with OU Alumni, coaches and friends raising funds exclusively to further the excellence of the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club. As you know, our golf course and its facilities are the home to the OU men & women’s golf teams and is critical to recruiting and their game development.

SID is the catalyst for our success and our continuing improvements. Jimmie Austin Golf Club is now ranked as the sixth best golf course in Oklahoma and sixth best University golf course in the country.

This year’s dinner is on TUESDAY (Feb 27) night at Bighorn and the main tournament is a NOON start on WEDNESDAY (Feb 28).

Our access to the very exclusive Private Clubs remains restricted like recent years due to the large increase in members, length of members stay. Additional golf may be available, but that can be arranged until mid to late January after the clubs have a better idea of member play and club policy. We will also be coupling up the cocktail reception with the scoring back at Hotel Paseo following golf Wednesday from 5:30pm to 7:30pm so you can come directly from the course or first go to your room and stop by on your way to dinner.
